"The Last Great Race on Earth"
CAUTION: Just thinking about participating in the Iditarod has been known to cause severe cramping! Proceed at your own risk.
Welcome to Iditarod 2009. Dengo Wildlife Control of Boise, Idaho, in partnership with the National Wildlife Control Operators Association - NWCOA, is proud to announce our first ever team sponsorship in "The Last Great Race on Earth".
It's our pleasure to introduce to you, Veteran Musher and Team, in Americas most grueling race with Americas top Athletes, Sven Haltmann. Sven is a Veteran Musher of the Iditarod and placed in a respectable 36th position in 2008. Sven and the Athletes hope to improve upon this impressive feat in 2009. The smart money is on a Top 20 finish!
As with most grand traditions, the Iditarod was born of historical beginnings. The rugged independence that trademarked these "Do or Die" Alaskans is celebrated annually by teams of Dog and Man. You won't see any bicycle shorts in this marathon and the Athletes don't re-negotiate their contracts and wouldn't even think of sleeping in a warm bed. Nope... where machines have failed, flesh and bone excels.
Dengo Wildlife Control invites Boise and all of Idaho to "Get In Touch With Your Inner Frontiersman" and cheer on a favorite Musher & Team for this annual world famous event. Pull down your Trooper Hat and fasten you rawhide seat-belts.. There's no telling what'll happen!
If you haven't already picked your favorite Musher, go with the National Wildlife Control Operators Association's choice and follow Sven #53. The race starts Saturday, March 7th, 2009.
Be sure to check back for Sven's race updates (follow to the NWCOA link below).

Great Iditarod Links:
Due to economic reasons, the airlines are no longer able to provide the free trip home for the dogs. The NWCOA thinks running over 1150 miles is tough enough and doesn't think they should have to worry about how they're going to get home. Through a small sponsorship, NWCOA has provided 16 athletes with transportation back home to their kennels. After a much needed rest, training starts right back up. If you would like to join the NWCOA and help back a "real" Musher, you can help Sven and the Athletes with a small donation. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a large donation either! Click here for Sven's site to donate. If your company or family wants to help out Sven with a small donation (a bag of dog food), I'll be happy to place your logo or name on this page. Contact us and attach your logo or we'll list your name, then sit back and enjoy the Race!
Off Topic but Noteworthy: Oh yes, since your checkbook is out, feel free to scratch a check to your local Christian Ministry. If that's not possible, just say a prayer and help others find out what the great news of Jesus Christ is all about. If your curious about what this Jesus thing is all about but you want to do your own research and not get rushed into things, good for you! Here's as good a place as any to start your fact finding mission (click here). Wednesday nights @ 7 p.m. and make up your own mind. It's a very informal Bible Study. Don't worry, leave your money at home! Say "howdy" or lay low. Either way, your always welcome. It's worth the effort!
Don't forget, for Bird & Critter problems call Dengo Wildlife Control. Hurry Back!
